Spring Cleaning

We have had a non winter here in South Texas. Only 2 fires in the fireplace all winter. But I don't trust March yet. She has fooled me before. I'm not hauling out the potted plantes yet! I have gotten the garden ready and we have LOTS of baby tomato plants that are almost ready for planting. I have gotten several beds cleaned, re-planted and mulched. I have also created a new bed for ferns, hostas and caladiums. We still haven't gotten the leaves picked up yet but hopefully we can get that done soon. Here are a few pictures.

  1. Carol you got me going now - I gotta get a pedicure. I also have to make a wreath like yours. Your new garden looks like it will be gorgeous. I love to see a clean slate to work with. Can't wait to see it all filled in.

  3. Looks like you are well prepared for the new season... it would perhaps be inappropriate for me to comment on the last photo! Larry

  4. I'm just pea green about your beautiful 'Bertha'! I need one bad. Just look at those baby 'mater plants growing. Looks like you will have a lot. I hope to learn to can some tomatoes this year for spaghetti sauce and some salsa too.
Thanks for dropping by my blog! Some days when I hit the thrift stores it's a bust for me too. Keeping at it is how I find the items I do. Hit or miss is the nature of the beast with thrifting. If I find a great top...it's the only one there, regardless of size. :(
