Rock garden

The start of a new bed--rock and catus garden. Finally the century plant has a home! I have toted her around for about 5 years. She's a baby of my Mom's great big one which was stolen after she passed away. Hope it stuck 'em!

Ugly hedges

Ugly hedges are history. In fact that whole bed will be going. Just a strange configuraation. Gonna use the landspace brick elsewhere and the dirt too. Neighbor claimed the hedges.

New Garden bed

New garden bed we made last weekend --right outside the dining room window. Planted caladiums and liles.

2011--Conroe Texas

It's hard to believe that been almost a whole year since I have posted anything! But what a year it has been! The short story is--my employer moved lock, stock and barrel to Houston Texas last year. Offer was made, much discussion at home, many trips out to Houston area, home was found and bought in Conroe, move was made so now MS Magnolia, Bubba Hubba and 2 poodles now live in Texas! We named our "ranch" Silverhill. Who'd a thunk it!?! But we are lovin' the new home, new town and work place. So we are looking forward to new gardens also! Did zero dirt diggin' last year so really ready to get going. Now in almost complete shade, so it'll be a whole new ball game!

Spring!

these are not graves--they are full seed trays

I saw some little shoots coming up from the bulbs I planted New Years weekend! Maybe spring will make it after all. Bill finally was able to get some of his seeds in dirt, too yesterday. I struggle with this time of the year. The cold gray days and getting dark so early--I can't stand it! From reading other gardener's blogs, they are ready to dig in the dirt too.

We went to an 25th wedding anniversary party yesterday. It was good to see some old friends and family too.
